Don't See Your Insurance Plan Listed?

Network status changes over time, and we may still be able to help. Book a consultation, and our team will confirm your coverage or walk you through self-pay options.

Insurance Coverage Details by Plan Type

We know navigating insurance can be confusing, here’s what you can expect from our office based on your specific type of coverage.

Medicare

If you're on Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, we've got you covered at both our Greenhouse Rd and Southwest Freeway locations. Since Medicare Advantage plans vary by insurer, our team will personally verify your specific plan before your visit so you're never caught off guard.

Medicaid

We work with select Medicaid managed care plans and understand how important accessible care is for our patients. Give us a call before booking, and we'll check your specific plan together so you know exactly where you stand.

Commercial PPO Plans

If you're on a PPO plan with Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, you're already in good shape — our office is in-network, and PPO plans typically don't require a referral to see us.

Commercial HMO Plans

On an HMO plan? You may need a referral from your primary care doctor first. Just let us know when you reach out, and our team will help confirm your plan's requirements and guide you through the referral process.

Workers' Compensation

Dealing with a work injury? We regularly help patients navigate workers' comp claims for occupational and sports-related injuries, and we'll coordinate directly with your employer's carrier so you can focus on getting better.

If Your Plan Isn't Listed

Don't see your plan here? Don't worry — reach out anyway. We see patients on a self-pay basis too, and we'll provide you with a superbill so you can seek reimbursement from your insurer.

Dr. Silky Patel, MD

Interventional Spine & Pain Management Specialist

Rest and Recovery for Back Pain Relief

Dr. Silky Patel’s Approach to Back Pain Treatment

Dr. Silky Patel follows a comprehensive, patient-focused approach to back pain treatment with the goal of helping identify possible contributing factors and discussing individualized non-surgical treatment options.

She begins with a detailed clinical evaluation and diagnosis to understand whether the pain is related to the spine, nerves, joints, or surrounding soft tissues. This helps in creating a personalised treatment plan tailored to each patient’s condition and lifestyle needs by an experienced back pain doctor.

Her approach focuses on non-surgical and minimally invasive options that aim to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support daily function. Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include image-guided injections, nerve blocks, regenerative therapies, and other interventional procedures commonly used in treatment of back pain and spine-related conditions.

Dr. Patel also emphasises patient education, ensuring individuals clearly understand their condition, available back pain treatment options, and long-term management strategies to support daily function, mobility, and symptom relief.

FAQs - Insurance Accepted

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Silky Patel?

Referral requirements depend on your insurance plan. Most PPO plans do not require a referral, while HMO plans may require one from your primary care physician. If you’re unsure, contact our team with your insurance details and we’ll help you confirm what is required before your appointment.

How can I confirm whether my insurance is accepted before booking an appointment?

Call us at 346-474-1881, send us a WhatsApp message, or use our contact form with your insurance plan details. Our team can verify your coverage and benefits before your visit so you have a better idea of your expected out-of-pocket costs.

How much will I pay for my first visit?

Your cost depends on your insurance plan, including your copay, deductible, and coinsurance. We can verify your benefits before your appointment and help you understand your expected out-of-pocket cost before you visit.

Is TRICARE or military insurance accepted?

Yes. We accept TRICARE, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, and US Family Health Plan. If you have one of these plans, contact our team before booking so we can verify your specific benefits and coverage.

Are PRP, regenerative therapy, IV hydration, and weight loss treatments covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by treatment and insurance plan, and some services may not be covered. Our team can help verify your benefits and let you know whether the treatment is covered or if a self-pay option applies before you proceed.

What happens if my insurance denies a recommended procedure?

If your insurance denies a recommended procedure, contact our office so we can review the situation with you. We’ll help you understand the denial and discuss the available options for moving forward with your care.

What if I want to pay out of pocket instead of using insurance?

If you prefer to pay out of pocket, our team can provide information about the applicable self-pay cost before your visit or treatment. This can also be an option when a particular service is not covered by your insurance plan.
